If you are looking for a peaceful beach in South Goa, then Benaulim Beach can be a suitable place for you. I first went to North Goa, and after spending about 15 days there, I was returning to Madgaon. Then from there I first went to Benaulim Beach in South Goa, and I liked this beach very much.

I will also suggest you travel here and get a chance to see the golden sand and blue sea here. Another amazing thing is that when I went here, there were a lot of snail shells in the sand here; the entire beach was covered with snail shells, and it looked great.

One of the most beautiful beaches I have seen is this Benaulim beach. And almost all the tourists who come to visit Goa come to this beach. I was here for three days and had a good tour of all the surrounding areas, so I tell you that you should definitely come here. This beach is not as crowded as the beaches of North Goa. But this beach has a very calm and pleasant atmosphere throughout the entire beach. There are many beautiful palm trees around, and all these palm trees and beautiful golden sand make this beach one of the most visited places here.

Benaulim beach is mainly located in the Benaulim village of Goa, and there are a total of three beaches here, the main one being this Benaulim beach. There is a beach called Trinity Beach on the north side, and there is Sernabatim Beach on the south side. Here you can do various types of travel activities such as parasailing, jet skiing, boat riding, etc. The nightlife here is very famous. Those who come to visit Benaulim come here and enjoy the beautiful nightlife here. Benaulim beach directions:

Reaching Benaulim Beach is very easy, but it depends on where you are coming from. If you are coming from North Goa, you can reach this beach directly via Vasco da Gama via Madgaon Road. Moreover, if you are coming here from Madgaon, the very famous railway station of Goa, then you can come here very easily. Because the distance from Margao Railway Station to Benaulim Beach is about 7 kilometers. So let me explain to you step by step how you can easily reach Benaulim Beach from any place in Goa.

From Goa Airport

The nearest airport to Benaulim Beach is Dabolim Airport, which is about 30 kilometres away from Benaulim Beach. You can reach Benaulim Beach from the airport very easily; for that, you can book a taxi for about 800 rupees. A taxi will take you to this beach, and if you are travelling solo like me, you can rent a scooty. You can easily reach this beach by renting a scooty with the help of Google Maps.

Moreover, if you want to reach here on a very small budget, for that, you first have to take a bus from Goa airport to Madgaon. And from Madgaon railway station, you will get various options to reach Benaulim beach. From there, frequent buses leave for the beach for just 30 rupees. Those buses will take you to the beach.

From Railway Station:

Look, I will suggest to you that if you are travelling alone or travelling with your loved one, the point is if you are travelling with two people. Then rent a scooty from the railway station or airport for just 400 to 500 rupees per day. You can rent a scooty here, and you can come to this beach from the railway station with that scooty. The nearest railway station to Benaulim beach is Madgaon Railway Station, which is about 7 km away.

If you are coming to Madgaon Railway Station, then you can easily come to this beach by bus or auto from there. Moreover, another famous railway station of Goa is Vasco da Gama Railway Station. If you are coming to Vasco da Gama Railway Station, then the distance from there to Benaulim Beach is about 29 km. You can also come here by bus or scooty from here; if you are coming by bus or taxi, then it may cost you around 100 rupees by bus and 600 rupees by taxi. So you can book your vehicle according to your budget and convenience and come here. But yes, if you are coming here from Vasco da Gama, then it may take you about an hour.

By Road Bus, Taxi:

The easiest and best way to reach Benaulim beach is to drive yourself to the beach by road. I would suggest you rent a scooty here, as the scooty is very cheap, so you can drive yourself here. Especially if you like to drive yourself, then you can rent a scooty or rent a car if you are with family. The scooty fare is around 400 rupees, and if you are renting a car, then the car fare is around 2000 rupees; you have to fill the petrol yourself.

You must use Google Maps to see the road, and according to the road shown by Google Maps, you can easily reach the beach. The road to reach the beach is very beautiful, and you can see the authentic life of the Goan people around. When you come to this beach through different villages of Goa, you can also enjoy the local rural environment here. Here you can enjoy the beautiful environment and green nature, all this in a great way if you are coming here on your own scooter, or if you want, you can stop somewhere and enjoy nature for a while.

So I always suggest you rent your own car and travel with complete freedom. Why only the beach? You rent a car and travel to the best places in Goa. For those who use public transport, you will get buses from Margao Railway Station. The bus fare to reach Benaulim beach is about 40 taka. Ask the locals and take a toto or auto to Margao bus stand, and from there take a bus to come here. If you want, you can come to this beach by booking a direct car or auto; the auto fare is about 60 taka per person.

Distance from Baga Beach to Benaulim Beach:

The most famous beach in North Goa is Baga Beach. So the first choice of tourists is to visit this Baga Beach. I know many tourists come here from Baga Beach or Calangute and North Goa, like I myself came here from North Goa. See, the distance from Baga Beach to Benaulim Beach is about 45 kilometers. If you are travelling by car or taxi, then it will take about 1.5 hours.

But remember my words: you can see a lot of people in Baga Beach, but this Benaulim Beach is completely opposite. Very few tourists come to visit here who like peaceful weather. So if you like more parties and enjoyment, then you may not like this beach. But it is not that there is no party arrangement here. There are also different types of nightclubs and party arrangements here.

A quick tip for first-time visitors:

Look, if you have time, I would suggest you come here and stay for a while. If you stay here for at least two to three days, you will be able to enjoy the surroundings and the beach very well. The second tip is to rent a bike and explore the surrounding areas because there are a lot of places to explore around this beach.

Also, the roads are very beautiful, and there are beautiful trees and greenery all around, so stop around and enjoy the greenery. Location of Benaulim Beach and Distance from Nearby Beaches and Landmarks:

Benaulim Beach is located in South Goa and is very close to some of the most famous beaches of South Goa. It is also very close to the main city of Margao. For example, Benaulim Beach is very close to the most famous beaches of South Goa, Colva Beach and Varca Beach.

Colva Beach is located to the north of Benaulim Beach. Colva Beach is just 4 km away, and Varca Beach is just 6 km away to the south. I used to walk along the coast to reach all the beaches while travelling here. If you want, you can walk along the coast to all these famous beaches; besides, there are many autos or taxis from Benaulim Beach that will take you to all these beaches. I had a scooty so I could travel to all the beaches very easily.

The distance from the main town of Margao to Benaulim beach is about 7 km, and you can easily reach here from these places. And you can travel to the entire surrounding area. I would suggest you, if you are staying in Benaulim, there is a very famous fort located just 40 km away in the south called Cabo de Rama. You must visit there; the place is very beautiful and historical.

And since the distance from here to Baga Beach is 40 km, you will have to travel by car or your own scooter. The road is so beautiful that I cannot describe it in words; there are beautiful coconut and palm trees all around the road, which is very beautiful to see. If you travel on your own scooty, then you can enjoy this view very much, and you can stop and have snacks wherever you want.

Since Colva beach is just 5 km away, you can go there whenever you want. And on the way to Colva, you will see various restaurants where you can stop and eat some local Goan food. I used to eat at all these restaurants sometimes and especially try the seafood. So I suggest you, if you are going this way, then definitely eat food from some small stalls located on the side of the road. Because if you eat food from all these places, then the people here will be more helpful.

Eating local street food is very important when you get to know a place well. And I really like Goan street food; I hope you will also like the food here. Moreover, you can also see a beautiful church nearby. The church is “Our Lady of Pillar Church.” I liked the beautiful environment around this church. I love adventure, and whenever I travel, I first check out the places where I can do adventure activities. I saw a lot of people doing jet skiing and parasailing. I tried these activities in North Goa, so I did not do them here. If you want, you must try these activities in the sea here. Apart from these, various types of adventure activities are organised here, like speedboat riding, banana riding, etc.

All these activities are very fun; if you have never done these activities, then definitely try them here. If you are very tired from working in the office and have come here to have fun and relax, then you can try various leisure activities here. A very famous jewellery shop located near Benaulim Beach is Din Brothers Jewellers & Goldsmiths. Most of the tourists who come to travel here shop from here. If you are interested in buying jewellery, then you can definitely come here and do some shopping. Apart from jewellery, various antique items are available here, and you will find local and authentic items from all over Goa here. So I would suggest you visit this shop if you are travelling here.

You can buy some items for your friends and relatives; if we talk about the price, then the price depends on the item. Here you can get different types of jewellery, which starts from just 500 rupees. You can buy the items at the price you like. I really liked the ring collections here, and I bought about four rings. One for my sister, one for me, and one for my mother. If you want, you can buy the rings here and also various very beautiful necklaces where they are available.

Raika Honey Apiary:

This is a bee nursery and training center. About a kilometre away from Benaulim beach, you will find this Raika Honey Apiary located just opposite the Bank of Baroda. This is a bee museum, and you can see how organic farming is done with bees. You can see directly how the bees collect honey and taste that honey there. And if you like, you can also buy honey from there. This place is one of the most famous shopping places here. You must go here and try the 100% authentic and original honey here and take it for your home and relatives.

Aziz and Son’s:

Another very famous gift and jewellery shop located in Benaulim is Aziz and Son’s. This is a very famous gift shop here. About a kilometre from the Benaulim beach, you can find this shop here where various types of animal jewellery and antiques are available. Which you can find all over Goa, and you can find the very famous authentic items of Goa here.

If you want, this shop is like a heaven for those around here, especially those who are interested in buying jewellery. Here you will find different varieties of jewellery, and you will also find some local Goan design jewellery here. I would suggest you visit all these local authentic jewellery shops or visit Din Brothers Jewellers & Goldsmiths. Both the shops have their own famous jewellery; if you want, you can visit both the shops and compare and buy the one that suits you best. I also bought a necklace for my mother from here that was made in a complete Goan style.

Kashmir Art Gallery:

Another very famous jewellery shop located just a kilometre away from Benaulim beach is Kashmir Art Gallery. You can find a lot of beautiful jewellery here, as well as antique items, various antique statues, and many more; besides, various authentic items from Goa are also available here. You can find this shop very easily on Google Maps. The shop is very big and has a very beautiful glass exterior. From where you can see all the beautiful items inside this shop from outside.

Authentic items like statues, pictures, art items, etc., are available here. You must come here to shop for your relatives. Most of the tourists come here and buy some or other things from here. You can also find various religious and ancient statues here, like I bought an ancient Nataraja statue from here, and that statue is still kept in my house. The shop is very beautiful; besides, various handicraft items are available in this shop.

So my recommendation is if you are coming here to travel, definitely come here once and buy the local things here. You can gift those things to your relatives, and also you can buy things from here for your personal use. I thought this shop was the best. It depends on you what you will take with you when you come here.

See, if we go somewhere, the first thing we do is find a hotel and a good place to stay. In this article, I will give you some options for staying very close to Benaulim Beach, which will be of three types. First, very luxurious and 5-star resorts; as a result, secondly, a mid-range hotel and 3-star resorts; and thirdly, a budget stay. You can stay in any hotel or resort according to your budget.

But I will recommend that if your budget is good, then you stay in the luxury hotel Taj Exotica Resort & Spa here. Because the experience of staying in this hotel will give you almost a royal experience. The resorts are so great and comfortable that I cannot explain it to you. So let’s know about some luxury hotels and normal budget hotels in Benaulim Beach.

The best thing is that you can find budget hotels here starting from 2000 rupees to 50000 rupees. So you don’t need to worry; if your budget is low, then you can easily find a normal place to stay or a hotel here. There is a great accommodation facility for all types of people here. I usually don’t stay in very expensive hotels. I stayed in a normal range hotel and searched for all the luxury and mid-range as well as budget hotels nearby. One of the most luxurious resorts in Goa is Taj Exotica Resort & Spa. It is a resort of Tata Group of Industries. The services of this hotel are very good, and you can see this very beautiful hotel just two minutes walk from Benaulim beach. A friend of mine was there, and he told me a lot about the hotel. He booked the hotel after looking at Google reviews. Before booking, the hotel has a very good rating of 4.8. According to him, the staff of the hotel is very friendly, and the manager is also very good.

He stayed at Taj Exotica Resort for two days, and his experience there was very good. The rooms in the hotel are quite nice and big, and you can enjoy the view of the ocean waves. You can also get a room with a sea view; besides a normal garden view, other options are available. The food at the hotel was very good, and he ate a lovestar here, and according to him, the lovestar was the tastiest thing in Goa. According to him, I can recommend you stay here for a day if your budget is a little higher.

Beira Mar Beach Resort:

The second and mid-range hotel is Beira Mar Beach Resort. It is a very famous resort. It is located just a five-minute walk from Benaulim beach. I liked this resort a lot, and there is a large swimming pool where you can take a bath if you want. Moreover, every room has a bathtub and comfortable beds. This hotel has a 4.4 rating on Google, and many people have marked this hotel as good on Google.

The hotel is great. I have also stayed here, and I really liked the service here. Especially the staff and manager here are very friendly. Every room has good WiFi. You can enjoy a great view from most of the rooms here.

If we talk about the food in the hotel, there is an in-house restaurant where all kinds of Goan seafood are available. If you want, you can eat different types of authentic food here, like shrimp, fish broth, crab curry, etc. If you ask me, I would say that this hotel is normally a very good place to stay. The services in the hotel are very good; if you want, you can easily stay here for a day.

There is a very beautiful garden adjacent to the hotel where there are beautiful palm trees, coconut trees, and various flowering trees. Castello’s Coco Beach Huts:

Another very beautiful beach hut located very close to Benaulim beach is Castello’s Coco Beach Huts. This is a very beautiful beach house that offers you the rural atmosphere of Goa. There are many small huts here where you can stay if you want. Many tourists who come to Goa want to stay in the beach houses here. If you have such a desire, then I will recommend you stay here. This is also one of the low-range hotels in Goa.

Almost all the huts here are made of beautiful tiles and have AC facilities. You will get WiFi facility in every room. Moreover, the staff here was very good. I stayed here for a day, and I liked their service very much. But if you are looking for a very luxurious place to stay, then this may not be suitable for you. Because almost all the huts here are not pucca houses, you may have difficulty staying. So once you see the reviews on Google and the good quality of their hotel rooms, book the hotel. There are 3.9 ratings on Google.

According to many, the hotel is very good, and for some people, the hotel is not that good. So I say you should book the hotel according to your convenience. The price of a day’s stay in this hotel is about 3 thousand rupees.

Carina Beach Resort:

If you want to stay on a low budget, then this Carina Beach Resort is a great place for you. The resort is located about a 10-minute walk from the beach. The hotel is very beautiful, and every room was very clean. It has a rating of about 3.9 on Google; according to many people, the hotel is very good, and according to some people, the hotel is normal. I did not find any such bad reviews of the hotel after searching Google completely.

So if you want, you can check out this hotel once. This hotel also has an in-house restaurant where different types of local Goan food are available. Moreover, the drinks in the hotel were very nice. I tried different mocktails here, and I also tried fruit juice, and I liked it very much. If you try to book a room here, you will get a little cheaper for taking the breakfast-inclusive package. All the hotel staff were very good, and they took us to the hotel with a very nice greeting.

In a word, I liked the hotel services a lot, and that is why I am commenting on your hotel. You can book this hotel from various travel websites. The price of staying in the hotel is fifteen hundred taka. It can be more or less in different seasons; check it before booking. If I talk about nightlife, then the best nightlife in Goa is in the North Goa region, and the further you go towards the south, the less party or nightlife these things will be. But Benaulim beach will offer you a great nightlife because when the sun sets here, the entire beach almost wakes up. Instead of a peaceful beach, Benaulim beach wakes up in a new form with a great atmosphere and a completely different atmosphere with noisy dances and parties.

There are many beach shacks in this area where different types of parties are held. These places attract a large number of tourists, and they participate in the parties by dancing and doing activities like that. If you like a little party dancing, etc., then Benaulim Beach will provide you with a great experience at night. Like Benaulim beach, it is very peaceful here, and many fewer tourists come to visit here than other beaches in North Goa.

This will be a great experience for you. I did that. I went out one morning and spent the whole afternoon exploring Margao town and came back to my hotel in the afternoon. This beautiful and largest waterfall in Goa is located about 55 kilometres from Benaulim beach. If you want, you can climb up this waterfall. Before going on a trip, check if the waterfall is open or not because many times the waterfall is closed. Especially during the rainy days, it is closed because then the water flow increases a lot, and it can be dangerous for the tourists. So if it is open, then definitely do this trip and see the very famous Dudh Sagar waterfall here and enjoy the joy of trekking.

The ideal time to visit Benaulim beach is between November to February. During this time, the weather is very cool, and you can try all the beach activities here if you come here during this time. During this time you can travel to all the surrounding places peacefully; in my opinion, travelling in winter is very suitable for you.

I have been here twice, once in winter and once in monsoon. The main purpose of my visit was to see what Goa looks like in the monsoon. Because I had heard that Goa is completely different during the monsoon and is full of nature and greenery. And another main purpose of my visit during the monsoon was to enjoy the beautiful train journey from Mumbai to Goa. I mainly came during the monsoon to do this train journey and spent almost a month here.

I really liked the monsoon, so I would tell you that if you like nature and want to see Goa full of nature and greenery, then come during the monsoon. Because at this time the very beautiful Dudh Sagar Waterfall here flows at full speed. Moreover, another beach located next to it is Kakolem Beach, which is the only beach in Goa where a waterfall is located.

These two things are inevitable to visit if you are coming here during the monsoon. Moreover, another advantage of travelling during the monsoon is that very few tourists come to travel to Goa during this time, so you will get hotels and other places much cheaper. If you want, you can also travel here in the summer, but I will not recommend it to you. In my opinion, the best time to travel here is during the winter or monsoon.

If there is no other way and you have to travel here in the summer, then travel a little carefully. Because the temperature in summer can be 25 to 35 degrees and more. It is relatively hot here, so you should travel a little carefully. If you are coming to travel in the summer, then bring a water bottle and glucagon D with you.
