Arambol Beach, Goa: Best Hotels, Activities, Food, and Travel Tips

I visited Goa and Mumbai a few days ago. At first I took a scooter from Madgaon station to Panjim, and after I took my hotel and headed for the famous Arambol beach. Various festivals are celebrated very well on the beach. I have also been to Goa twice before. And I had a lot of fun every time, once with my family and once with my best friends. I have had so much fun in Goa every time, and Goa is first on my bucket list.

But this time I have been in Goa for almost twenty days. In these twenty days, I have visited a lot of beaches and also churches and villages. been up here on the famous streets and tried the famous street food here, but this Arambol beach is so beautiful, surrounded by greenery and white sandy beaches. And with that, you can see a lot of rock formations around here.

A friend of mine named Swamy suggested I come here. So as he said, I took my scooter from my hostel about 30 km far from this beach; it took about 1 hour, and I had a lot of fun enjoying the beach. Today I will share with you my travel experience of travelling to Arambol Beach, and I will also tell you many things about this beach, like when you come to visit Goa, where you stay, if you come to visit this beach, what are all the activities you can do here, and more.

So let us first of all know how you will reach here.

If you have visited Goa, then I think you may be in Goa’s capital, or any place you stay, and then I will tell you the way to reach here. From there, there are about three ways to reach here.

You can reach here by: firstly, you can rent a scooter and come here because you know that scooty are very famous in Goa and many people drive scooters here; secondly, you can come here directly by booking a taxi or by car; and thirdly, you can come here by public transport. Then let’s go. Let’s see what is the most convenient way for you to reach this beach.

By Public Transportation:

I love to socialise with local people. I have been to Goa almost three times, once with my family, once alone, and another time with my friends. When I went with my family, I used this public transport from Panjim to Arambol Sea to go to the beach. You get to take a bus from Panjim to Muphasa, and in the middle of that route lies Arambol Beach.

During this journey you will see beautiful villages of Goa, and the roads are very beautiful, with mountains on one side and local people living on the other side. From the middle of it, your bus will take you to Arambol Beach. This 35 km journey by local bus takes about an hour, and the bus fare is 50 rupees only, so if you went with your family or with friends, you don’t need to rent a scooter or car. I think public transport there can be the best option for you.

And I would suggest that if you want to go a bit further from there, you will find goan villages; you can explore them very easily. You can reach this beach very quickly while talking with your fellow passengers. Buses are usually not crowded but can be quite crowded if you travel on the weekend.

By taxi and car:

If you prefer to travel a little more comfortably, then I would suggest you take a taxi or rent a car from Panjim or Madgaon railway station and various places in Goa.

You can rent a car and reach the Arambol beach directly along the NH66 route. It is the easiest road to reach Arambol Beach. When I went with my family, I booked a car and travelled all over Goa with that car. We used to pay about twelve hundred taka per day for a Wagner car; I am talking about three years ago; now maybe fifteen hundred taka per day will cost you; even you can book the car as per your comfort.

And if I talk about taxi service, then all over Goa you will get taxi service. If you go from Panjim to Arambol Beach, then your fare will cost approximately 800 rupees.

An important point is that online taxi services are not operated anywhere in Goa. Like Ola Uber, you won’t see it anywhere, and also there are no Ola Bike or Uber Bike Rapido services here because local taxi managers and local taxi business owners have not allowed online taxi services to enter Goa, so you will find many taxi stands all over Goa. From there, you can easily book a taxi to reach this beautiful beach.

By Bike\scooter:

Now coming to the scooter, which is my favourite. A few days ago, when I visited Goa for about twenty days, I hired a scooter from Mudgaon railway station in Goa and first went to Panjim, the capital of Goa, and then from there to the very beautiful Arambol beach.

I would suggest you go on a scooter if you are travelling alone or with friends because you can travel as you wish within the scooter while you are on the cooter. From the railway station, go to Arambol Beach. You can see a lot of beautiful sea and mountain scenery. To enjoy all these, you can easily reach the very beautiful beach of Arambol, which is about 70 km from this field village.

If you rent a scooter and go to this beach, then you will spend as much petrol as you spend, and if you rent a scooter in Goa, it will cost you around 400 to 500 rupees. It depends on what kind of scooter you have taken. I did a Wego, which was Rs 500 per day, and there were many scooter options like Activa and Honda. You can rent any scooter, and you will get a scooter rental here between Rs 400 and 500.

I will suggest you one more thing that happened to me: I hired a scooter from Madgaon railway station for 500 rupees. And when I reached Panjim, there were lots of scooter rentals, and I was looking at scooter rentals for 350-400 rupees. So I will tell you don’t rush all over Goa; scooter rental is available; take your time and look for a good one. If you are visiting during the season, then maybe 500 rupees per day can be the rent of a scooter, but if you are visiting during the season, then you can rent a scooter for between 250 and 300 rupees.

Best time to visit Arambol Beach:

November to February

A large number of tourists visit Goa during this time. This beach is very famous; you can see a lot of tourists. Temperatures range from about 68 degrees Fahrenheit to 86 degrees Fahrenheit, 20 to 30 degrees Celsius, so the humidity in the air is low. Beach activities are many; this time is very good to travel if you think you can come to travel during this time because you can try all the activities here.

March to May

During this time the temperature here starts to rise slowly, and the temperature is around 35 degrees Celsius. If you like less crowds, then you can come to travel here during these months. The weather is quite cool in the morning and evening, but you will see a lot of sun in the afternoon, and you need to travel carefully during this time. Because many times we get dehydrated due to sun heat while scooting, it happened to me when I went for a trip in May. I got completely dehydrated due to sun heat, so be careful about these things.

June to September

Monsoon season, whatever it is, I prefer to travel during this time because the natural beauty can be enjoyed more during this time. If you travel to Goa, you will see completely green hills; very few tourists travel during this monsoon season, and all hotel hostel prices are very low. So I mostly prefer the monsoon season as the western ghats are very short, so there is no fear of landslides here. So whenever I plan to travel to South India/southwest India, I choose this monsoon season because the Western Ghats range of South India becomes very beautiful during monsoon days.

You actually have another plus point during monsoons, which is the very scenic train journey from Mumbai to Goa. This time I will pressurise you; if you come, then you will come from Mumbai to Goa by train on this route. There are many famous trains in Vande India, Tejas Express; these trains have special Vistadome coaches.

Arambol beach travel tips

A lot of tourists come here from January to April and October, so try not to visit during this time. Because if you come to travel during this time then you have to take hotels at high prices and activities are very expensive this time.

Try to travel on days of the week such as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Friday. Try to travel on all these days so you can avoid the weekend crowds.

Try to visit this beach early in the morning or travel in the late afternoon, as you can enjoy this beautiful beach in peace. Moreover, you will avoid the peak temperatures in the afternoon, and you will have a peaceful experience with people around you.

Another very important tip is to book your hotels in advance. There are many hotels and hostels around this beach, which I will detail below. You should try to book those hotels in advance, because during the peak season, the hotels here are booked well in advance. So you try to book hotels very much one month in advance.

Things to do in Arambol Beach Goa:

Arambol Beach, which is known as the Russian Beach, offers various types of travel activities. But I did a lot of travel activities, so I didn’t do anything like that here. I will show you some of the activities that I did. First of all, I did paragliding here, played beach volleyball, and all the activities that I did were shopping, dinner in nice restaurants here, etc.

I booked the paragliding package near Arambol Beach, which cost me 3000 rupees. The next day we all got ready to go to our pickup point. It was about one kilometre from here in front of Keri Beach; from there we were taken to a hill about two kilometres high; we trekked about 30 minutes to reach the hill.

Our guide was very good; he took us through everything. If you come to travel here, then paragliding must be done once because the paragliding here is very famous. Our guide’s name is also Shankar. I will share his details with you, and you can talk to him directly.

We were about four friends, and we reached the pickup point and saw about 20 people waiting there. And after meeting everyone and talking to our guide, he took us to the starting point from where we will start paragliding. From there we donned our paragliding gear while soaring through the sky and experienced such a beautiful view from above that I cannot describe to you.

One thing you need to keep in mind is not to move too much when you are paragliding. If you are paragliding for the first time, then you will feel a little scared, but it does not matter as you will be paragliding with all the safety aids.

Now let me tell you how to book paragliding here. So to book paragliding, you have to pay 3000 rupees, and if you want to do adventure, then you have to pay 500 rupees extra. Moreover,  if you want to make a video of this paragliding, then you have to pay 500 rupees.

We booked our package from Ali Bhai; if you want to book, I am giving your contact number. You can talk to him and book your travel package. If you do normal paragliding, then your total will be around 3000 rupees, but remember you won’t get video footage.

And of course, call them a day in advance to find out because the pace can be different; they will take your booking, and I suggest you try these activities if you want to relax. Because while I was paragliding I was getting a great view from the sky, Arambol Beach about a kilometre away was amazing, and there was a beautiful view of the sunset from there. I can’t say enough that it can be an experience to realise in your life.

Arambol beach goa nightlife:

Like all the beaches in North Goa, Arambol beach goa nightlife was awesome. We were about four friends on two scooters. We used to check out of our hotel at 7:30 every day and travel all over Goa, visiting Arambol, where there are lots of casinos, bars, etc.

You can go there and enjoy the nightlife here. Goa is a place to enjoy; most of the bachelors come here to travel; you can enjoy the nightlife here with them. All the casinos here have dances and various parties, and for a small amount of money, you can get entry to all these clubs. The entry fee of the club we went to was only 500 taka, and our dinner was included; dancing with him was free. So you can check online well and go to nearby clubs.

Arambol beach goa places to visit:

Arambol Beach has an abundance of scenic spots and various activities. There are many famous places, and also all the activities of Goa are done here, which I have described all below.

Arambol freshwater lake

Mainly located a short distance from the beach is the Sweet Water Lake. It is an amazing phenomenon to have such a beautiful freshwater lake near the salt sea. It is so beautiful that I can’t describe it, surrounded by greenery and lots of palm trees around. And there are plenty of seating areas around it where you can sit and relax for a while and enjoy the scenery.

I liked this place very much; I was mesmerised by its beauty. If you want, you can swim in this lake. The calm water here is perfect for swimming. Lots of tourists come here to visit and enjoy bathing in this lake. Me and my friends bathed in this lake and came with family when I came here and bathed here. I enjoyed bathing here.

Let me tell you another thing: when you come here for bathing, you will see a lot of mud on the beach, and many types of tourists come here and bathe in the mud. It is called a mud bath, and many tourists come here to take mud baths.

banyan tree:

A narrow trek northwards from Sweet Water Lake will take you to the famous banyan tree, the natural beauty of which is overwhelming. Various types of cultural events are held here. It is a very popular landmark here and a philosophical place for the locals.

Tourists from different countries who visit Goa gather here and try to learn about the history of this beautiful banyan tree, and the atmosphere around the banyan tree is very peaceful and pleasant.

As mentioned earlier, a large number of cultural events are held here, one of which is the music festival. Prominent musicians of Goa come here and perform music competitions in Jamaat, and you will have a great experience listening to Goan folk drama and music in the local language.

Scenic clips and panoramic views

Arambol Beach has a very beautiful and amazing clip that offers the best panoramic views. You can easily see the view of the mountains surrounding the entire beach from here. There are many treks along the clips that lead you to fascinating view points. The spots are perfect for hiking and photography. My family loved this place so much when we visited that it was amazing. If you are visiting with your family, then you will surely enjoy this view.

You can stop here for some photography and make reels for Instagram. After all the activities, you will reach the peak when it is sunset time. You can enjoy a rainbow-like sunset by going to the place that is located in this clip. You will get the best and most amazing experience at the beach.

After trying some activities at Arambol Beach while I was having evening snacks. Then me and my friends planned that we would stay in Arambol today, and then we all started to search hotels on Google. While searching, I found a hotel called Sandbanks Beach Resort.

This hotel is very beautiful and cheap hotels in arambol goa, the strangest thing is that the hotel was located right behind us, where we were having our evening snacks. We didn’t have to go far to find a place to stay, so we checked in without hesitation. Our only requirement was clean rooms, and after inspecting them, we settled in.

The hotel had great WiFi, and this arambol Beach hotels price starting at just 1500 rupees. He showed us the rooms, and each room had a different price. The room we got was very nice, and the view from the room was great. Also, I visited many hotels in the vicinity to see if they were good or bad. And try to get a hotel near Arambol Beach, as there are many hotels right next to the beach, and you will get a direct view of the sea from those hotels. If you don’t live near the sea, you can’t have such fun.

If we talk about the food here, different types of seafood are available in every restaurant here. And if you go to the beach, then your trip will not be complete if you do not eat the seafood here.
